1. About these terms

These terms govern your use of the Stroma website (stroma.design), the free scan and report services, and the paid fix-pack download described below. By using any Stroma service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Stroma Consulting (Pty) Ltd (Reg. 2026/076918/07) is a private company registered in the Republic of South Africa, operating from Johannesburg, Gauteng.

Stroma is not currently a member of any self-regulatory or accreditation body. Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

2. The services

Stroma offers free performance analysis for publicly accessible websites, plus an optional paid fix-pack download:

2.1 Light Scan (free, instant, no email required)

• Analyses your website using a single PageSpeed Insights lab test
• Returns a performance score, estimated Bleed Index, top issues ranked by technical severity and actionability, and an evidence-bounded recommendation
• Delivered instantly in your browser (typically under 30 seconds)
• No email address required
• A clearly labelled illustrative commercial scenario may be shown when its technical and input credibility gates pass; otherwise commercial figures are withheld
• Results are cached for up to 24 hours to prevent duplicate API calls

2.2 Deep Evidence Report (free, email required)

• Runs the full diagnostic pipeline: lab data plus real user field data (Chrome UX Report), visual capture and calibrated Bleed Index
• Delivered via a secure signed link emailed to you, typically within 5–8 minutes
• Requires your email address and role for delivery and lead qualification. Your name, if provided, is used only to personalise the report-ready email and is not stored.
• Includes an automated usability audit evaluating UX heuristics across six pillars (navigation, interaction, cognitive load, touch quality, visual accessibility, action architecture)
• Report links expire after 30 days
• We reserve the right to limit daily report generation volume

By requesting a Deep Evidence Report, you agree that Stroma may contact you about your scan, its findings, and related products. You may object to follow-up contact at any time by emailing hello@stroma.design.

We reserve the right to decline any submission at our discretion.

2.3 Fix Pack (paid, one-time)

• An agent-ready bundle generated from your Deep Evidence Report: ranked fixes (fixes.json), per-fix verification targets, agent rules and a structured handoff (AGENTS.md, SKILL.md and related files)
• A one-time purchase at the price shown at checkout — no subscription and no recurring charges
• Delivered as an immediate download once payment clears
• Payment is processed by Paddle, our Merchant of Record (see section 7)

3. Report access and expiry

• Deep Evidence Report links are cryptographically signed and unique to your request
• Links expire 30 days after generation
• You may request a fresh report by running a new scan
• We may revoke report access if we detect misuse
• Light Scan results are available in your browser session only and are not stored beyond the 24-hour cache window

4. Rate limits and fair use

To maintain service quality for all users:

• Scan requests are subject to rate limiting
• Full report generation is subject to a daily budget
• Automated or scripted submissions are prohibited and are blocked by our bot protection system (Cloudflare Turnstile)
• We may throttle or temporarily suspend the service during periods of high demand

5. Cancellation

• Light Scans are instantaneous and cannot be cancelled once initiated
• Deep Evidence Report requests may be cancelled before generation begins by emailing hello@stroma.design with the URL you submitted
• Once a report has been generated, the data is retained per our Privacy Policy. You may request deletion at any time

6. Refunds

The Fix Pack is a digital product delivered immediately on payment, so it is generally non-refundable once downloaded. If the pack fails to generate, fails to download, or is materially not as described, email hello@stroma.design within 14 days of purchase and we will re-deliver it or refund the one-time fee shown at checkout. Refunds are issued to your original payment method via Paddle. The full policy is set out in our Refund Policy.

7. Payments and Merchant of Record

Payments for the Fix Pack are processed by our reseller and Merchant of Record, Paddle.com Market Ltd ("Paddle"). Paddle handles checkout, payment processing, billing, receipts and the collection and remittance of any applicable sales tax or VAT, and will appear on your card or bank statement. Your purchase is therefore also subject to Paddle's Buyer Terms. Stroma does not receive or store your card or payment details.

8. Eligibility

By submitting a URL, you confirm that:

• You own, operate or have authorisation to submit the website for analysis
• The URL points to a publicly accessible site (not behind authentication, staging or development)
• The information you provide (email, business metrics) is accurate to the best of your knowledge
• You are requesting this service in a professional or commercial capacity on behalf of a business, not as an individual consumer

9. Commercial scenarios and disclaimers

Any commercial figures shown are illustrative modelled scenarios, not measured loss, actual revenue, forecasts, or guarantees. They use the available public and lab performance evidence together with business inputs you provide and clearly identified defaults. An outside-in scan cannot establish causal revenue impact; first-party analytics and controlled validation are required.

Specifically:

• Estimates are presented as conservative, central and aggressive ranges with documented caps
• The conservative figure is always used as the headline
• Commercial scenarios may use published research, internal vertical elasticity priors, regional benchmarks, and the business inputs you provide; each source class and default must remain labelled
• These figures should inform prioritisation, not replace financial analysis
• Light Scan estimates use lab data only and are clearly marked as "modelled — industry estimate" when default metrics are applied
• Deep Evidence Report estimates incorporate real user field data where available, improving accuracy
• Both tiers clearly disclose the data source and assumptions underlying every figure
• The Usability Friction Index is a heuristic-based assessment derived from automated testing tools including axe-core. It evaluates publicly visible front-end behaviour and does not constitute a comprehensive accessibility audit or WCAG compliance certification

Stroma does not provide financial, legal or investment advice. Reports are performance diagnostics, not audits or warranties.

10. Intellectual property

Your report: the content of your report (data, findings, recommendations) is yours to use, share with your team and act upon as you see fit.

Our methodology: the Stroma scoring algorithms, Bleed Index methodology, Usability Friction Index model, analysis engine, templates and branding remain the intellectual property of Stroma Consulting (Pty) Ltd. You may not reproduce, reverse-engineer or redistribute the methodology itself.

Public performance data: our analysis uses publicly accessible performance metrics sourced from Google PageSpeed Insights and the Chrome User Experience Report. This data is freely available to anyone and is not subject to any restrictions under these terms. Our analysis only assesses front-end, client-side performance and does not require or request access to your servers, databases or proprietary backend code.

Aggregated data: we may use anonymised, aggregate findings from analyses to produce industry benchmarks, research, case studies and published content. Published material will never identify you, your company or your website. No personally identifiable information, company names, URLs or business metrics you provide will be included without your explicit written consent.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by South African law, and excluding cases of gross negligence or wilful misconduct:

• Stroma is not liable for any business decisions, investments or actions taken based on the findings in any report
• We make no warranty that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or that any specific outcome will result from implementing recommendations
• Our total liability for any claim arising from the services is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant service (zero for the free services; the one-time fee paid for the Fix Pack)

12. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Submit URLs for websites you do not own or have authority over, for competitive intelligence or any purpose other than assessing your own digital property
• Provide deliberately inaccurate business metrics to manipulate report outputs
• Scrape, automate or abuse the scan forms or API endpoints
• Republish Stroma reports as your own work or misattribute the source
• Share report access links publicly or with unauthorised parties

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Stroma Consulting (Pty) Ltd from any claims, damages or expenses arising from your breach of these terms, including submitting URLs for websites you are not authorised to have analysed.

14. Scope of these terms

These terms apply to the free Light Scan, the Deep Evidence Report, the paid Fix Pack (a digital product delivered as a download) and general website use. Stroma's products are generated by software; no human consulting or advisory services are sold through this website.

15. Records

Records of your submissions and reports are retained as described in our Privacy Policy. You may request access to your records at any time by emailing hello@stroma.design.

16. Alternative dispute resolution

In the event of a dispute, we will first attempt to resolve it through direct communication. If we cannot reach a resolution, either party may refer the matter to mediation before pursuing formal legal proceedings.

17. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be noted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.

18. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute arising from or relating to these terms will be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
